Bensalem HS Marine Corps JROTC Visit Philadelphia Coast Guard Station

JROTC cadets from the school boarded the U.S. Coast Guard Tug "Capstan" to partake in several demonstrations and educational presentations.

BENSALEM, PA — Bensalem High School Marine Corps JROTC cadets had the opportunity to visit the United States Coast Guard Station in Philadelphia on Monday, April 4.

After a safety briefing, the high school cadets had the opportunity to board the U.S. Coast Guard Tug “Capstan”, which is docked in the Delaware Bay sector of the Coast Guard.

Cadets partook in weapons and life raft inflation demonstrations, as well as a line throwing challenge and educational presentations on Maritime Law Enforcement and what the Coast Guard does on a regular basis.
