Bensalem Police To Be Featured On New TV Show
"American Detective" will air on Discovery Plus starting in January. The episode from Bensalem will debut in February.
BENSALEM, PA — Investigators from the Bensalem Township Police Department will be featured on a show on Discovery's new streaming channel.
Discovery Plus is scheduled to launch on Jan. 4. It will feature content from Discovery, Animal Planet, HGTV, Food Network, TLC and more. Among its original programming will be "American Detective," a show hosted by Lt. Joe Kenda.
In a social media post Monday, Bensalem Police announced that an episode featuring a local case is scheduled to debut on the streaming service on Feb. 17.

A clip advertising the new show featured quick glimpses of Bensalem Detective Chris McMullin and the township's public safety director, Fred Harran.
According to the Bensalem Police post, McMullin will be discussing a 2004 homicide case with Kenda on the episode.

Kenda is a retired police detective from Colorado. His series, "Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda" debuted in 2011 on the Investigation Discovery network and quickly became a ratings favorite on the network.
In the new series, Kenda will discuss cases from across the country with the detectives who worked on them. It will premiere Jan. 4, when the Discovery Plus service launches.
