BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Democrats have taken the early lead in Tuesday's general election for the Bensalem Township School Board.

The school board race has focused on debate over a new middle school. The school board recently held off a vote to allow the new school board to make that decision.

Results in Tuesday's general election by the Bucks County Board of Elections are unofficial until they are certified at a later date.

As of 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, 66 percent of Bucks County's precincts had reported their vote tallies.

  • Marc Cohen (Republican) — 3,801 votes
  • Rachel Fingles (Democrat) — 4,889 votes
  • Leann Hart (Democrat) — 4,961 votes
  • Abby Koss (Republican) — 3,690 votes
  • Kate Pascucci (Democrat) — 5,097 votes
  • Sheldon Per (Republican) — 3,685 votes
  • Lee Schum (Republican) — 3,577 votes
