Brothers Charged In Connection With Bensalem Golden Corral Brawl

One of the brothers started using racial slurs and using other vulgar language directed at children waiting in line, cops said.

BENSALEM, PA — Two brothers are facing charges for allegedly starting the large brawl at the Golden Corral Buffet and Grill in Bensalem in late January.

Alexis Rios, 46, of Trenton, and Hector Rios-Rodriguez, 49, of Florida, have been charged with summary disorderly conduct, according to court filings.

According to police, the incident began over a steak dinner. The brothers were in line at the buffet when they became agitated at how the food was being served. At one point, one of the brothers started using racial slurs and using other vulgar language directed at children waiting in line, police said.

The children returned to their seats, where they informed their families. Family members confronted the two, with the brawl ensuing shortly after.

In a video that has since gone viral, customers can be seen throwing chairs, glasses, and other restaurant property at one another for over three minutes. Staff members of the restaurant can be seen trying to stop the melee.

Police arrived at the scene to find the brothers continuing the allegedly hostile behavior, and it took police a long time for them to calm them down. It was their alleged behavior after the brawl that caused them both to be charged.

The restaurant, which sometimes has security guards by the front door, did not have any security the night of the brawl.

Bensalem Public Safety Director William McVey is currently working with the Bucks County District Attorney's Office to determine the appropriate charges. The brothers are currently the only two charged in the brawl, with McVey saying none of the other participants in the brawl are currently facing charges.
