Dockside Bensalem Shuts Its Doors Permanently

The former High Tides eatery had reopened under new ownership in Bensalem Township in April.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Dockside Bensalem has permanently closed its doors.

The Totem Road restaurant's closure was announced on Facebook Monday along with Nick's Roast Beef Woodhaven.

A Google search also confirmed Dockside Bensalem's closure.

The casual waterfront restaurant offered seafood dishes, beer, and cocktails, plus live music, and a kids' menu.

It had opened under new ownership last April.

A Facebook post announced the closing, stating that the decision was abrupt and that the restaurant's employees were not notified. Another restaurant posted about the closure too, offering its services to patrons who had made plans to eat there.

"So sad to find out that Dockside in Bensalem closed suddenly. We were just there on Friday and really enjoyed it," one patron posted on Facebook.

"You should be more sad that they didn’t give their employees any notice and stiffed them right before the holidays," said another poster.

The food industry had taken hits in Lower Bucks County over the past year.

Bob Evans closed its last restaurant in Bucks County and Denny's packed it in as well.
