TREVOSE, PA —It was one Bird delivering another bird.

It's not every day you go up to a drive-through window and have Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl champion Saquon Barkley poke his head out.

But there was the star running back taking a shift Thursday morning at Raising Cane's and feeding a fan frenzy salivating for the Eagles Super Bowl parade on Friday.

"It was amazing," a worker at the Trevose location told Patch. "We probably had between 150-200 people here."

Barkley dazzled the crowd with his moves handing out drinks and food while wearing a black hoodie, grey knit cap, and green T-shirt sporting the Raising Cane's logo.

The crowd used their cell phones to snap pictures and record video of Barkley, who led the league in rushing yards in the NFL this season while leading the Eagles to their second Super Bowl championship.

Barkley's appearance was announced unexpectedly on Wednesday at Raising Cane's on Horizon Boulevard.

Jo Lucas, 65, headed down to see what all the fuss was about.

"It was a zoo," Lucas told Patch Thursday. "It was chaotic. There was a nice crowd. He got up on the stage and thanked everyone."

Lucas, a Pittsburgh Steelers fan who grew up in that city, was happy for his friends and family that the Eagles won the Super Bowl and called Barkley "maybe the greatest free agent signing ever."

"He changed the landscape," said Lucas, who may head down to the parade to take some pictures.

Bensalem Sgt. Glenn Vandegrift said Barkley visited for a promotional event at the restaurant.

"Saquon was a true professional and had the Philly Eagles fans going crazy," he said. Raising Cane’s CEO Todd Graves and his team put on a great show. All Bensalem Police and Fire personnel did a great job to ensure it was a safe event for everyone!"
