Tomlinson Projected Winner For Re-Election Bid In Bensalem Township

State Rep. Kathleen "K.C." Tomlinson is projected to win the 18th Legislative District seat in a tight race against Democrat Laurie Smith.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Republican Kathleen "K.C." Tomlinson is the projected winner in her re-election as state representative in the 18th Legislative District, narrowly defeating Democratic challenger Laurie Smith in Tuesday's general election.

Absentee and mail-in ballots have been partially reported.

With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, the Bucks County Board of Elections said that Tomlinson received 12,451 votes —or 52.31 percent.

Smith received 11,303 votes, or 47.48 percent, according to unofficial vote totals.

In the 6th Senate District race, Republican Frank Farry was the projected winner in his re-election with 61,586 votes. Democrat Anne Marie Mitchell received 56,275 votes while Libertarian Brandon Bentrim received 1,920 votes.

For the 1st District U.S. Congressional District race, Republican incumbent Brian Fitzpatrick was the projected winner against Democrat Ashley Ehasz. Fitzpatrick garnered 169,506 votes while Ehasz received 137,607 votes.
