Election 2025: Marc Cohen For Bensalem School Board

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Marc Cohen is running for a seat on the Bensalem Township School Board in the Nov. 4 general election.

Cohen, a Republican incumbent school director, is among eight candidates running for four, four-year terms on the nine-member school board.

The candidates are Republicans Marc Cohen, Sheldon Per, Abby Koss and Lee Schum facing Democrats Kate Pascucci, Leann Hart, Rachel Fingles, and Rodger Allen.

1. How will the middle school debate impact the school board race?

The district is in need of a new middle school. The final decision on how best to proceed involves a multitude of factors that will impact students, staff, and taxpayers throughout the district for years to come, and I believe that these decisions are best made after the election to keep this important project from becoming a political football.

2. What educational background do you bring to the position?

My background is in business. I’m very proud of my dad. He was a great Philadelphia educator. I learned so much from him about how the school systems work.

3. What are the biggest challenges to the school district in the future?

Funding of the district is always the most important. We have great teachers and staff, and they will always provide our students with the best education possible.
