Medicare Educational Workshop To Be Held In Bensalem

The free event will educate those eligible for Medicare on how to apply, as well as all benefits that the healthcare program offers.

BENSALEM, PA — An educational workshop on Medicare will be held at the Bensalem United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 10.

Hosted by several Medicare 101 groups, the event will help educate those who are eligible for Medicare, as well as those who know someone who is eligible.

Topics that will be covered include Medicare Parts A + B (Original Medicare), Part D Prescription Drug Rx Plans (PDP), Medicare Advantage (Part C), and Medicare Supplement Plans (Medigap).

A group of certified professionals will be at the event to help senior citizens get verified with doctor approval, calculate prescription costs for the year, and find out how company agents and independent brokers are compensated.

This organization was established "to provide Free Educational Workshops for those turning 65 or who are already on Medicare," according to their website. "We work closely with volunteer advisors that have extensive experience working with insurance companies and Medicare providers."
