Nanu's Hot Chicken Opens In Bensalem Township

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Nanu's Hot Chicken has opened its first Bucks County location on Street Road.

Owners Muhammad Faisal and Ikram Rashid recently opened the location at 1947 Street Rd. They have two other locations in Drexel and Chestnut Street in Philadelphia.

Nanu's Hot Chicken is known for its famous halal Nashville hot chicken.

The owners said Nanu's Hot Chicken is crafted with love and care, offering a tantalizingly rich taste that promises to delight the palate with every bite.

The menu features halal Nashville-style hot chicken tenders, sandwiches, loaded fries, sides, desserts, smoothies, and catering options. Guests are invited to test their taste buds with homemade spice-coated chicken tenders ranging from no spice to reaper, in regular or hot honey.

Store hours will be Monday through Sunday, seven days a week, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.

"We are bringing the heat to Bensalem," Faisal said. "I live in Bucks County near this location and love my local community. I know this area, I know our neighbors and I know my food —I am excited to bring this all together. This is a win-win as it lets me bring my community the food that I love. This is living the dream and I am so thankful for this opportunity."

Nanu’s was created by four brothers who had a dream to make real change happen in the world and who had a passion for helping those in need, including Nanu, who was born with Down Syndrome. Imran, Ikram, Haroon, and Nanu Rashid created Nanu's in 2023 and opened their first location at 2210 Cottman Avenue in July of that year.

The brothers started the first location, then decided to expand the business, and began searching for partners. Muhammad Faisal was the first to join their team.

Faisal now owns three locations —starting with 3301 Market Street aka Drexel University in Philadelphia, which opened in December 2023.

He went on to open 4407 Chestnut Street in April 2024. He celebrates his third location with Bucks County this week, at 1947 Street Road.

He has plans to open a fourth location shortly.

Including Faisal's restaurants, Nanu's has quickly grown to include eight locations throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, with a ninth on the way!

For the location, look for take-out, delivery, and dine-in. The dining room has seating for up to 20 people at colorful tables and chairs to complement the giant 270-degree art murals, the finished product is an Instagram-worthy backdrop with nods to Philadelphia which include shout-outs to the Phillies, Eagles, and 76ers, LOVE Statue, Liberty Bell, iconic Philly smiley face, and more. Overhead, look for a solar system-inspired ceiling because the food is out of this world!

• Chicken Tender Wrap with Fries, Our signature Nashville chicken tender topped with coleslaw, cheese, pickles and Nanu's sauce. Served on a fresh white tortilla and with a side of our signature seasoned french fries.
• Wings with Fries, Served with pickles, coleslaw and Nanu’s sauce.
• Cauli Sando with Fries (Vegetarian), Served with pickles, cheese, coleslaw and Nanu’s sauce.

Spice levels include no spice, mild, medium, hot, extra, and reaper. Hot honey or regular is available.

Smoothies are in classic or cheesecake (similar to a milkshake) in blueberry, caramel, chocolate, mango, mixed berry, piña colada, pineapple, strawberry, vanilla, or build your own.
