PAL Hockey Champions Crowned In Bensalem Township

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The PAL Hockey League has crowned its champions.

The Bensalem Township Police Department congratulated the Rangers (Junior Division) and the Devils (Senior Division) for winning their championship games Tuesday night at Community Park.

The Rangers were coached by Officer “Red Dog” Cliff Snyder and SRO Jen Pettine. They narrowly defeated a very talented Kings team, coached by Sgt. Dornisch, Cpl. Malcolm, and Officer Forcina.

The Devils were coached by Officer Schwartz and Lt. McGinty. They defeated the Capitals, coached by Officer Jachimski and Director William McVey.

"PAL would like to thank all of the officer-coaches for giving up your personal time to help the kids of Bensalem during these past few months, as well as Tracey Buechner, who helped with the 'behind the scenes' tasks that often go unnoticed. We also need to acknowledge Lt. Donnelly for all of his support to the PAL programs throughout the year," the police department said.

PAL created the first David Richardson Integrity and Character Award, which was presented to league referee Mathew Kirk.

"Kirk has been refereeing hockey for the past few years and always conducts himself with the highest integrity. Dave would have been proud. Thank you again to all involved," the department said.
