Parx Casino Shippensburg Celebrates 2nd Anniversary

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Parx Casino Shippensburg recently celebrated its second anniversary by awarding $100,000 to 16 charitable organizations.

With the anniversary also comes the announcement that the casino has a new general manager.

Parx Casino said that John Marshall brings his vast expertise to lead the Shippensburg operation to new heights.

With over 30 years of experience, Marshall has built a strong and diverse track record introducing gaming to communities in Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Kentucky and as well as pursuits in other states.

“I could not be more excited to join this terrific and dynamic company and to lead Parx Casino® Shippensburg into the future,” Marshall said.

Under Marshall’s leadership, Parx Casino Shippensburg reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and enriching the local community with its Parx Shippensburg Impact Donations.

To date, Parx Casino Shippensburg has donated $400,000 to community partners in the Greater Shippensburg region.

Parx Casino Shippensburg is the second casino property in Pennsylvania owned and operated by Greenwood Racing Inc.

Parx Casino Shippensburg is located on South Conestoga Drive off Interstate 81.

The 73,000 square foot casino property offers 500 slot machines, 48 electronic table games, Jax bar with video poker, Foodies grab-and-go counter service, and Liberty Bar & Grill, a first-class sports bar and upscale family-friendly restaurant. Liberty Bar & Grill offers a comfort food menu, wood-fired stone-baked pizzas, and 18 large HD TVs to watch all sporting events. A new live entertainment venue, The Side Pocket, was launched in 2024.

The Side Pocket is an intimate entertainment enclave in the casino that features national comedians on Friday nights and local bands on Saturday nights. Pool tables are available to play in The Side Pocket every Monday through Thursday and all sporting events are available every Saturday and Sunday. betPARX® sports betting kiosks are stationed throughout the casino as well.
