Route 1 Paving Continues In Lower Bucks County
PennDOT said the roadwork resumes overnight this week in Bensalem and Middletown townships.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation plans to continue paving overnight this week on Route 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships under a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bucks County.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Sunday, July 20, through Friday, July 25, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions between Fairhill Avenue and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
