Street Road Closed Following Firetruck Crash: Police

BENSALEM, PA — Bensalem Police have closed Street Road between Hulmeville Road and Knights Road for a serious crash investigation.

According to police, a head-on collision occurred between a van and Bensalem Township Engine 222 at the 2100 block of Street Road. All the firemen involved have been reported as unharmed, but the driver of the other vehicle is in critical condition.

The Emergency Alerts of Southeastern Pennsylvania confirmed that one person was entrapped as a result of the accident.

The roadway will be closed for several hours so an investigation can take place.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
