Trump Backers Bus To D.C. From Bensalem For Rally
About 100 people gathered for a mask-free trip to attend the rally in support of Trump's efforts to derail President-elect Joe Biden.

BENSALEM, PA — Local supporters of President Donald Trump boarded a bus in Bensalem on Wednesday to head to Washington D.C., where they joined protests against certifying President-elect Joe Biden's victory.
Thousands of Trump backers rallied in Washington during what is usually a ceremonial action by Congress. The results of the Electoral College vote have already been certified.
At about 4 a.m. Wednesday, roughly 100 people gathered outside The Trump Store, on Street Road, to make the trip.

Andy Meehan, a failed candidate for the Republican nomination for Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional District in Bucks County, said he chartered the bus.
In video from NBC10 Philadelphia, no one boarding the pair of buses appeared to be wearing a mask during the coronavirus pandemic, which continues to infect hundreds of people in Bucks County every day.

Eight Republican U.S. representatives from Pennsylvania had announced their intentions to stand against certifying last month's Electoral College vote naming Joe Biden as the next President of the United States.
Election officials have stated repeatedly that there is no evidence of significant fraud in the 2020 election, and that mail-in balloting in Pennsylvania and elsewhere was safe. Judges in lawsuit after lawsuit filed in states including Pennsylvania have ruled Trump has no legitimate cause to question the election's results.
By Wednesday afternoon, after Trump spoke to the rally crowd, his supporters clashed with police and some attempted to storm the U.S. Capitol building.
