The lane closures and stoppages will take place on roads in Bensalem and Middletown townships from Wednesday to Thursday.
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced lanes closures and traffic stoppages on U.S. 1 in the areas of Bensalem and Middletown townships for construction, which will last from Wednesday to Thursday.
All closures and stoppages are related to blasting and excavation projects that are occurring on roads in these townships.
- On Wednesday and Thursday, intermittent single lane closures with 15-minute traffic stoppages will be in place in both directions on U.S. 1 between the Route 413 and Neshaminy exits from 8 p.m to 10 p.m.
- On Wednesday and Thursday, intermittent 15-minute traffic stoppages will be in place in both directions on Bristol Road between Old Lincoln Highway and Neshaminy Boulevard from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The construction is a part of a larger project to widen almost three miles of U.S. 1. The construction of new structures over the Neshaminy Creek and over rail lines near the Penndel exit will be built as a part of the project.
