U.S. 1 Traffic Stoppages In Bucks Co. For Wire Replacement: PennDOT
The closures will occur between Rockhill Drive and the Route 413 Interchange in Bensalem and Middletown townships over the weekend.
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced several traffic stoppages in Bucks County that will begin on Saturday and wrap up by Sunday.
Intermittent 15-minute traffic stoppages will take place on U.S. 1 in both directions between Rockhill Drive and the Route 413 Interchange in Bensalem and Middletown townships from 6:00 a.m. on Saturday through 6:00 p.m. Sunday for overhead wire replacement.
PennDOT crews are in the middle of reconstructing and widening almost three miles of U.S. 1, with this weekend's project being a part of the plan. Improvements to the interchanges such as the construction of several new bridges, which include new structures over the Neshaminy Creek and over rail lines near the Penndel exit, will be implemented into the expansion project.
