Van Driver Entrapped After Old Lincoln Hwy. Crash

PENNDEL, PA — A driver was entrapped in his van after colliding with a tractor-trailer on Old Lincoln Highway on Tuesday morning.

According to Penndel Volunteer Fire Company #1, Station 8, a van was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of Old Lincoln Highway when it came into contact with a tractor-trailer. The driver of the van was entrapped as a result of the impact.

Bensalem Fire Rescue arrived on the scene to assist the Penndel fire company. The crew shut down part of the road while rescue team members extracted the van driver. Rescue Company 8, Engine 65, Engine 222, Special Service 222, and Rescue 4 from the two fire companies were used at the scene.

The driver was turned over to medics at the scene.
