BeCaHi Girls Will Play for State Championship
With a win in semifinals on Tuesday, Bethlehem Catholic girls earn a trip to Hershey and a chance to win first state championship in school history.

The Bethlehem Catholic High School girls basketball team has earned the right to play for its first-ever state championship.
The Golden Hawks, who are already District 11 champions, defeated District 1 champion Villa Maria 44-39 on Monday night in a state semifinal played in Warminster. They will play District 7 champion South Park on Saturday night at the Giant Center in Hershey for the PIAA Class AAA state title.

Sophomore Kalista Walters led Becahi with 20 points, including the 1,000th of her career in Tuesdayβs victory, according to this account in The Express-Times.
Bethlehem Catholic has played only once before for the state title, the newspaper reported. The Golden Hawks lost to Pittsburgh North Catholic 62-42 in the 1993 state championship game.
