Bethlehem Law Enforcement to Collect Unused Prescription Drugs

You can return unused pills and prescriptions at four sites in Bethlehem on National Take Back Day, September 27.

More than 54 percent of people who abuse prescription drugs got them through friends or relatives, according to the Nation survey on Drug Use and Health.

Take Back Days are designed to give people an easy way to dispose of prescription drugs.

The national Drug Enforcement Administration hosts several Take Back Days throughout the year. One is coming up on September 27.

You can bring your prescription drugs to several collection sites in Bethlehem between 10am to 2 pm.

  • Westgate Mall, 2285 Schoenersville Road
  • Bethlehem State Police Barracks, 2930 Airport Road
  • Wegman’s, 5000 Wegman’s Driver
  • Lower Saucon Township Police Department, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, people have returned 390 tons of pills back to collection sites in the last seven Take Back days.
