Written by Jack Tobias

City police have accused a man of threatening to kill his girlfriend and her mother.

”She is dead, I mean it, she is f------ dead,” Raymond Anthony Grimes, 24, is quoted as saying in a criminal complaint. He was referring to his girlfriend, with whom he has a child.

Grimes allegedly made the threat to a man and woman whose home he visitedΒ June 7. The home is on the first block of W. Greenwich Street in the city, according to the complaint filed by city Officer Dale Hart.

After visiting the home, Grimes called his girlfriend and told her he was going to her mother’s home to kill the mother, the complaint says.

The girlfriend and the woman from the Greenwich Street home told police they feared Grimes and his threats β€œbecause of his violent tendencies,” the complaint says.

The girlfriend says Grimes is currently homeless. The complaint lists his last known address as 614 Pawnee St. in the city.

Grimes was charged with terroristic threats and harassment. He was arraignedΒ Sundayafternoon by on-duty District Judge Jackie Taschner of Palmer Township and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
