Comedy Show with 'Mike & Molly' Star Coming to Sands

A standup comedy double bill starring John Pinette and television star Billy Gardell (Mike of "Mike & Molly") is coming to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center  Dec. 30. Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. today.

Pinette has been entertaining audiences around the world for more than 20 years. He has enjoyed a long career in standup, television, film and stage. His big break came in 1991 when he was asked to tour with Frank Sinatra.

Since then, Pinette has starred as Edna Turnblad in the hit Broadway musical “Hairspray” and various films including Duets, starring Gwyneth Paltrow, and The Punisher, starring John Travolta. His new one-hour standup special “John Pinette: Still Hungry” is on Comedy Central.

Gardell stars as Chicago police officer Mike Biggs in the hit CBS television series "Mike & Molly," which gets about 13 million viewers every week.

His other television credits include “My Name is Earl,” “The Practice,” “Monk” and “Gary the Rat.”  Gardell has opened for such well-known comedians as George Carlin and Dennis Miller.
