Dog Shot in Bethlehem Robbery Attempt
Fourth Street incident was one of two gunpoint crimes Wednesday night, Bethlehem police say.

Bethlehem police say two men shot a dog and assaulted its owner during a robbery attempt Wednesday night.
According to police, the robbery happened just before midnight at 1101 E. Fourth St., when two men-- one armed with a handgun, the other with a shotgun -- broke in.
Police tell the Express-Times the dog was treated by a vet and is expected to survive.
This incident was one of two gunpoint crimes in the city Wednesday night. At 9:35 p.m., a man was reportedly robbed on the 1100 block of Fritz Street.
Police say two men, both black, stole $200 in cash and an iPhone 4s.
