Liko the German Shepherd is Bethlehem's Top Dog

The 150-pound "swimming moose puppy," Liko, is voted the favorite among nine entrants in the Bethlehem Top Dog contest.

Out of nine entries with cold wet noses and wagging tails, there could only be one winner: Liko the German Shepherd was voted by Bethlehem Patch readers.

Liko weighs 150 pounds and loves to swim with his favorite toy, “Mr. Duckie,” according to his adoring human, JoAnne Stull.

“He gives me unconditional love,” Stull said.

Stull almost lost Liko to “a still unknown disease” in January, but fortunately, the “swimming moose puppy,” is feeling like himself again thanks to some medicine and “lots of love,” Stull said.

“I am so happy to see him enjoying the pool again,” she said.

As the winner, Liko will represent Bethlehem in the next round of voting, which will include dogs from across other eastern Pennsylvania Patches.

Wish Liko luck and look for that regional poll on July 9.
