Man Jailed in 'Despicable" Sex Assault

Sean Humes, 42, to spend as long as four and a half years in prison for abusing teenager.

A Bethlehem man who sexually abused a teenage girl over a period of years will spend the next few years in prison.

That's according to the Morning Call, which reports Sean Humes, 42, was sentenced Monday to spend as many asΒ four and a half years in prison after Judge Leonard Zito called his crimes "despicable."

Court records show Humes entered a guilty plea to a felony sex crime and corruption of minorsΒ in April.

Humes was charged last summer when his victim, then 17,Β walked to St. Luke's Hospital and reported the abuse.Β 

The Express-Timesβ€”which said the abuse went on for two yearsβ€”noted that Humes will have to register as a sex offender upon getting out of prison.
