Reports of Armed Man in Reading Causes School Lockdowns

Reports of a man armed with a rifle have prompted lockdowns in Reading schools.

Police received the reports of the armed man near South 10th and Cherry Streets around 9am.

10th and Penn Elementary, Southern Middle School, and Amanda Stout Elementary are all on lockdown. The school district administration building is down as well.
