A large sinkhole was discovered Sunday morning to the rear of 1502 Second St. in Bethlehem Township, township police said.

The sinkhole is about 25 to 30 feet wide and 10 to 12 feet deep, said Sgt. Gregory Gottschall.

There were no reported injuries.

However, the house had structural damage and its occupants had to relocate, the Express Times reported.

Gottschall said two other smaller sinkholes were discovered earlier this week in the 1400 block of Second Street. He said sewer work had been performed in the area following a main break but it was not known whether that work had led to the sinkholes.
