Child in Car Seized After Cecil Woman Charged With DUI, Drug Possession

Police said Marie Walleck had slurred speech, red eyes and appeared to be 'foaming at the mouth' before officers charged her last week.

A Cecil Township woman was charged with driving under the influence, possessing a controlled substance without a prescription, endangering the welfare of children and improper restraint of a child Friday—an incident that led to Washington County Children and Youth Services taking custody of an infant in her car.

Cecil Township police said officers were dispatched by Washington County 911 after a caller reported an erratic driver, and indicated she had just pulled into Big Jim's Roadhouse.

When police arrived, they observed the vehicle of Marie Wallek partially blocking the entrance with the engine still running.

Police said Walleck’s speech was slurred, her eyes were red, her movements were delayed and that it appeared as though she was “foaming at the mouth.”

Officers requested she exit the vehicle and asked if she had consumed any alcohol or controlled substances, at which point she admitted taking two Adderall pills and on Subutex—both prescription drugs. Officers also discovered pills in her vehicle.
