Five Things You Need To Know This Week

1. The Canon-McMillan School Board will hold its monthly voting meeting at 7 p.m. Monday—tonight—in the district administration building.
2. Canonsburg Council will hold a special meeting to preliminarily approve its 2013 spending plan—which includes a 1-mill tax increase—at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the borough building.
3. North Strabane Township Board of Supervisors will hold its non-legislative meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the municipal building.
4. Thursday is Thanksgiving. Local, state and federal offices will be closed. Many municipal offices will also be closed Friday in observance of the holiday.
5. Remember to shop local as Small Business Saturday is this weekend.
