Lunch With Santa Planned in Cecil, Toy Drive Slated in Muse
Here are two events happening this weekend—so get the kiddies ready!

Canonsburg isn’t the only community getting into the holiday spirit this weekend—there are also events planned at Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Muse Volunteer Fire Department featuring all things Christmas.
The 5th Annual Lunch with Santa begins at noon on Saturday at the Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Department on Millers Run Road. The doors open at 11:30 a.m.
While, among other things, Santa will be there to take pictures with the kids, the Ladies Auxiliary will be presenting a check to the department.

The cost for the lunch with Santa for children 10 and younger is $2. Lunches for adults will also be available for purchase. There will also be a Chinese auction, facepainting, cookie decorating and other activities and games.
The Cecil American Legion Post 793 and the Cecil Township Parks and Recreation Board are partners for the event.

"It turned out to be a community thing," Ruth Bushmire, of the Ladies Auxiliary, said.
The check represents what the group raised from events held throughout the year.
The Muse Volunteer Fire Department will also be hosting a toy drive Saturday.
The drive will be held at the fire station on Muse-Bishop Road from 9 a.m. to noon. It benefits Toys for Tots.
The department had a headstart on the drive—
Those who want to participate are asked to bring a new toy valued at $5 or more. Monetary donations will be accepted also (and yes, Santa will be making his way to the Muse event, too).
