
Donald E. Morgan, 76, of Lawrence, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 9, 1936 in Lawrence, a son of Michael and Ethel Fereday Morgan.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a coal miner. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, and was an avid Pirates fan.

On Sept. 11, 1993, he married Marian Lipski Morgan, of Lawrence, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael Morgan and his wife, Susan, of Upper St. Clair; Matthew Morgan and his wife, Joley, of Eighty Four; step-son, David Holliday, and his wife, Debbie, of Washington; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Morgan, and her partner, Kristy, of Denver; Kelly Morgan, and her partner, Laura Lynn, of Mt. Lebanon; step-daughter, Tracy Gamble, of Canonsburg; two sisters, Jane Stutts, of Chicago; Pat Chambers, and her husband Ray, of
Eighty Four; two grandchildren, Matthew and Kennedy Morgan; four step-grandchildren, Erica and Damen Gamble, and Justin and Erica Holliday; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, Jack, and Chuck Morgan; and two sisters, Evelyn Morgan, and Ethel Plute.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Sollon Funeral Home, located at 30 E. College St., Canonsburg, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
