Geraldine L. ( Skowirski) Ward-Statler age 79 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 27, 1933 in Canonsburg, the daughter of the late George and Helen Oldshak Skowirski. Mrs. Statler lived most of her life in Canonsburg and she was Catholic by faith.
Surviving are her loving companion for more than 40 years, Richard Donella; son Mark (Peggy) Ward III, daughters, Marsha (Fred) Tonti and Melanie (Greg) Holtz all of Canonsburg, five grandchildren; Mark D. Ward III, Shelby Tonti, Zachary Tonti, Jeremy (Abbey) Chambers and Tiffany Chambers; two great-grandchildren; Kylie Chambers and Luke Chambers-Fritz; sister, Tessie Radosy.

Deceased are two sisters, Adale Buncic and Lorraine Doheny.
Friends are welcome on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.; Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg, where a Blessing Service will be held on at 11 a.m. Thurday, Dec. 6, 2012. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
