• Cell tower proposal in Canonsburg Town Park scuttled (observer-reporter.com) — Canonsburg council has effectively shelved a proposal to lease part of Canonsburg Town Park for a 195-foot Verizon cell tower after strong neighborhood opposition. Residents argued the deal undervalued public land and threatened park character and nearby property values. At the same meeting, council reorganized and chose new leadership for the coming term.
