Range Resources Cancels Public Workshop Scheduled With Cecil Tonight

Range Resources was set to the meet with Cecil's Board of Supervisors to talk about the working relationship between the municpality and the business, but the company has pulled out of a public workshop set for 6 p.m. tonight, township Manager Don Gennuso confirmed.

Gennuso announced that the meeting had been postponed around 4 p.m. Thursday after Range Resources pulled out of the meeting. No date was immediately announced as an alternate date for the meeting. No reason was immediately given for the cancellation.

Range Resources spokesman Jim Cannon was not immediately available for comment Thursday afternoon.

Range Resources had first asked for a private meeting with the municipality.
