Teen Injured in I-79 Crash Listed in Serious Condition

The Canonsburg teenager involved in a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 79 near Southpointe Tuesday afternoon was listed in serious condition at Allegheny General Hospital Wednesday morning, according to a spokeswoman.

The Observer-Reporter indicated on its website that state police said the car driven by Nicholas Harrison, 18, hit a median before striking another vehicle head-on.

Media reports indicate that the interstate was shut down for some time while first responders and state police cleared the scene.
