Thunderstorms Move Into the Area
The National Weather Service said rain showers are expected to persist through tonight.

Severe thunderstorms are expected to continue through this evening, according to Lee Hendricks, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Moon Township.Â
He said there is an 80 percent chance of widespread and severe thunderstorms this afternoon, throughout the evening and after midnight.

The National Weather Service is reporting winds from the west at 17 miles per hour, with 9 to 11 mile-per-hour winds from the north. The organization is reminding residents that when thunderstorms threaten, seek shelter in a sturdy building.
According to the website, about an inch of precipitation is expected throughout the storm.
