Washington County Ranked Nine in State For Drug-Take Back Program
Both Canonsburg and Peters police participated in the program.

Results are in from this year's event—hosted on April 30. Washington County ranked No. 9 in Pennsylvania, donating more than 705 pounds of drugs. Allegheny County ranked No. 1, donating nearly 2,150 pounds.
Locally, both Peters Township and police participated in the program.
Plans are under way for the next event in the fall.

Police said the box in the station is already filling up. You can donate presription drugs at any time—prescription medicine in pill form, liquid and over-the-counter drugs are accepted.
