Drug Take-Back Planned This Saturday
Allegheny County police will hold a prescription drug take-back event in South Park on Saturday.

What to do with those old, expired prescriptions in your medicine cabinets? The Allegheny County Police can help.
The Allegheny County Police will collect unwanted, unused and expired prescription drugs and other medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, at the North Park County Police Station and the South Park County Police Station.
The effort is part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s fourth National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. All medications collected will be disposed of safely and properly.

The North Park County Police Station is located at 700 West Ridge Drive in Allison Park and the South Park County Station is located at 1801 Buffalo Drive in South Park.
During the last Take Back Day on October 29, 2011, more than 188 tons of unwanted and expired medications were collected at 5,327 sites across the nation. Since its inception, the effort has safely and properly disposed of nearly 500 tons of prescription drugs.
