A Heidelberg man was charged with DUI after police said he crashed into a tractor-trailer and left the accident scene.

DUI hit-and-run: Eric Tomikel, 51, of Heidelberg, was charged with drunken driving, careless driving and reckless driving after borough police said he was involved in a hit-and-run accident with a tractor-trailer on Greentree Road on March 31. Police said the vehicle sustained heavy damage and officers found Tomikel “highly intoxicated” after locating his car.
Drunken driving arrest: Ryan Grise, 25, of Pittsburgh, was charged with drunken driving and several motor vehicle violations after Heidelberg police said he ran a red light in a construction zone on Railroad Street on March 31.

Construction equipment stolen: Building supplies owned by Pantera Construction was either damaged or stolen while being stored beneath a bridge near the ChemTech building, Collier police said. Police said the building suppie were taken some time from March 26 to 29 and a barrel of sand was rolled into the creek.
Jewelry stolen: Collier police said $4,600 worth of jewelry was stolen from a First Street home on March 29 after someone entered through a rear sliding glass door.
Wanted man charged with theft: Joseph N. Noble, 47, of Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft and false ID after Scott police said he tried to steal items from Shop ‘n Save on April 2. Police said Noble also had outstanding warrants from Philadelphia County.
DUI charge: Tyler Baker, 19, of South Fayette, was charged with drunken driving on March 31 after Scott police said he struck channel markers in a construction zone on Route 50.
Gas and go: Carrie Wetzel, 23, of Scott, was charged with retail theft after Scott police said she didn’t pay for her gas at the Mini Mart on Painter’s Run Road on March 31.
Public drunkenness charge: Albert Hodgkiss, 48, of Carnegie, was charged with public drunkenness on March 31 after Scott police said they found him intoxicated at a Washington Avenue parking lot.
Money stolen from apartment: A resident in the 400 block of Carothers Avenue told police money was stolen from his apartment on March 31.
