La Fiocco, the Bucks County Baroque ensemble, continues its 2025-2026 season with a holiday concert entitled Tidings of Comfort and Joy, featuring Renaissance, Baroque and New Music for the holidays. The repertory includes works by Telemann, Purcell, Renaissance dance music, and a new carol by composer Owen Davitt.
La Fiocco’s musicians, who perform on period instruments, are Allen Hamrick, recorder, dulcian, and baroque bassoon, Owen Davitt, recorder and crumhorn, Cameron Khan, harpsichord and organ, Jorge Torres, lute and theorbo, and music director Lewis R. Baratz on recorder, crumhorn, and organ. Young artist Brian Morris will also perform on recorder.
The concert will take place at Trinity Episcopal Church, 6587 Upper York Road, Solebury, Pennsylvania on Friday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m. In the spirit of the holiday, tickets are offered at a lower rate than for La Fiocco’s regular series concerts, and are $15 general admission, free for children 12 and under.
