City Of Easton: Easton City Council Committee Meeting - Tuesday 9/7 At 6 Pm

On Tuesday 9/7 at the Easton City Council Committee Meeting at 6 pm, the City will announce the selections for preferred developers for the Easton Iron & Metal Site (1100 Block of Bushkill Drive ) and the Pine Street Parking Garage redevelopment projects. The announcements will be made by members of the committees that were charged with reviewing and ranking the associated proposals.

The two committees were formed by Mayor Panto and each includes a dozen or more City residents, business owners, and experienced professionals from the Lehigh Valley. Each committee met on numerous occasions to evaluate the merits of the proposals and interviewed the finalist developers extensively. The selection by the committees will be followed by a presentation from each selected developer on their respective project.

The next step in this process will involve City Council reviewing the Committee recommendations and choosing the final developer for each project. This may occur as soon as the September 22 Council Meeting. An additional City Council Committee Meeting will be held on Tuesday 9/21 to receive additional public input.
