Live Music, Art Auction This Weekend

A look at what's happening every weekend in Easton.

Hello everyone. We're halfway through the week, which means it's time to take a look at what's going on this weekend in Easton:

  • The State Theatre hosts Broadway Rox, featuring the music of 20 different Broadway hits, Sunday at 3 p.m. 
  • The Easton Farmers' Market and artist Maciek Albrecht team up for an art auction of 50 of Albrecht's works Saturday at noon at 325 Northampton Street, the future home of the winter farmers' market. There will be a preview from 9 a.m. until noon.
  • The Fuzed Quartet is on the bill this week for jazz night at the Lafayette Bar. Showtime is 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
  • The Lafayette College Arts Society presents its 11th annual “Evening of A Cappella” Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Williams Center for the Arts. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased calling the box office at (610) 330-5009 weekdays between noon and 2 p.m. and again from 4 to 5 p.m.
  • Also at Lafayette: Conductor Kirk O'Riordan leads the college Concert Band in a free concert that mixes a variety of folk song and dance influences: Roshanne Etezady’s Anahita, Vaughn Williams’s English Folk Song Suite, John Barnes Chance’s Variations on a Korean Folk Song, Morten Lauridsen’s O Magnum Mysterium, and Alberto Ginastera’s Dances from Estancia. Showtime is 3 p.m. Sunday at the Williams Center.  
  • There's live music at Porter's Pub Saturday at 10 p.m. courtesy of Selectronics.
