About the Event: 

On Saturday, October 30th from 8 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the Borough will be hosting Household Hazardous Waste Day at the Emmaus Community Park. The event is designed for Borough Residents Only (ID’s will be checked on site). The event is not open for businesses to dispose of items. 

What is Accepted: 

Garden Chemicals, such as fertilizers, insect sprays, herbicides, pesticides, and weed killer; Paint Products, such as chalk, glue, paint, stain, stripper, thinner, wood preservative; Household Chemicals, such as ammonia, heavy-duty cleansers, naval jelly, tile remover, and strippers; Universal Materials, such as batteries, compact fluorescent lamps (CFL), thermometers, fluorescent tubes. Items must be in their original containers and must be clearly marked.

What is NOT Accepted:

Ammunition, explosives, asbestos, or any material that is not in a labeled container or is leaking. Latex Paint – please do NOT put this in with your other chemicals, as it is not considered a hazardous waste item.
