'Dig Pink' with the Emmaus High School Girls' Volleyball Team

Annual "Dig Pink" charity night at Emmaus High School combines a volleyball game and a fundraiser for breast cancer research.

TheΒ Emmaus High SchoolΒ girls volleyball team is hosting its annual "Dig Pink" charity event to raise money for breast cancer researchΒ Tuesday, beginningΒ at 5:30 p.m. at the high school.

Proceeds from the event go to the Side-Out Foundation, a organizationΒ established in 2004 to unite volleyball players and coaches and to have them work toward the common goal of furthering breast cancer awareness, education and patient services, according to the Side-Out web site. It wasΒ created by a high school volleyball coach from VirginiaΒ in honor of his first team and in memory of his mother, who died from breast cancer in 2010.Β
