Should States be Cutting Teachers to Save Money?

State budgets are tight nationwide, but do you think that education is the first place to make cuts?

Last month Gov. Tom Corbett endorsed a school voucher program that would let lower-income students leave public schools. At the same time, Corbett looks to slash funding to public schools.

East Penn, too, is now in a budget process that could end in higher taxes and cuts to school programs. But when state and local budgets are tight, is education a place to cut?
