HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford release details on crimes that occurred in the township througout July and early August.

The crime blotter includes crime incidents, arrests made, and citations issued.

  • Criminal Mischief at Merwood Park, 2500 block of Wynnefield Drive, on July 2 at 10:18 a.m. – Graffiti was discovered.
  • Criminal Mischief at Negrey Eye Associates, unit block of W. Eagle Road, on July 2 at 4:24 p.m. – The business owner reported human feces in the rear parking lot.
  • Identity Theft at the 400 block of Olympic Avenue on July 2 at 12:31 p.m. – The victim reported that someone opened an AT&T account using his identity.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the 1200 block of Fairview Avenue on July 3 at 1:17 p.m.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the 1000 block of Severn Lane on July 3 at 11:58 p.m.
  • Retail Theft at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on July 3 at 4:18 a.m. – Three unknown males stole
  • approximately $45 worth of merchandise.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on July 3 at 3:25 p.m. – Two unknown males stole $1,608.00 worth of Sephora perfume.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on July 3 at 12:22 p.m. - Two unknown males and an unknown female stole $983.17 worth of merchandise.
  • Retail Theft at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on July 3 at 11:49 p.m. – An unknown male stole $5 worth of merchandise.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on July 4 at 12:06 p.m. – An unknown female stole $185.12 worth of Red Bull.
  • Retail Theft at Fine Wine and Good Spirits, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on July 5 at 3:48 p.m. –Three unknown males stole multiple bottles of tequila.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the 1400 block of Windsor Park Lane on July 6 at 11:23 a.m.
  • Theft at the 400 block of Langhorne Avenue on July 6 at 1:07 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on July 6 at 7:31 p.m. – An unknown male and female filled shopping bags with $632.36 worth of merchandise. The suspects left the bags when they were approached by the loss prevention officer.
  • Criminal Mischief at Merwood Park, 2500 block of Wynnefield Drive, on July 7 at 8:47 a.m. – Graffiti was discovered.
  • Theft at the 400 block of Hastings Avenue on July 7 at 4 p.m. – The victim hired a contactor to do a two-story addition. The contractor collected a check for $40,000 and stopped communication with the victim.
  • Theft at the 200 block of Walnut Hill Lane on July 7 at noon – A package was stolen after it was delivered.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on July 7 at 1:16 p.m. – An unknown male stole $180.00 worth of merchandise.
  • Theft at the 1000 block of Earlington Road on July 8 at 3:02 a.m. – The victim reported that the driver side door handle lock had been punched out on his vehicle. It does not appear that access was gained.
  • Theft at the 500 block of Howell Lane on July 8 at 4:35 p.m. – The victim received a phone call from a person claiming to be her granddaughter. She stated that she was in a car accident and needed them to provide $9,000 to a public defender. A courier picked up the money before the victim realized it was a scam.
  • Attempted Theft at the 1400 block of Darby Road on July 8 at 12:17 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, nothing was reported missing.
  • Retail Theft at CVS, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on July 8 at 12:31 p.m. – An unknown male stole approximately $100.00 worth of merchandise.
  • Fraud at the 100 block of Fairlamb Avenue on July 16 at 10:41 a.m. – The victim received a phone call from an unknown male. He stated that he kidnapped her adult son and demanded that she provide her social security number for her son to be released. She later spoke to her son and realized she had been victimized.
  • Theft at the 200 block of Canterbury Road on July 17 at 3:29 a.m. – An employee from The Traffic Group reported that a traffic counter was stolen from a light pole. It was valued at $1,200.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on July 7:43 a.m. – An unknown male stole $1,622.75 worth of merchandise.
  • Assault/Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft at the 500 block of Kathmere Road on July 18 at 2:40 a.m. – The victim observed someone in his son-in-law’s truck. When he went outside to confirm what he saw he was confronted by the offender. The offender threw the victim to the ground and ran off.
  • Bicycle Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on July 18 at 11:56 a.m.
  • Theft at the 1500 block of Ashton Road on July 19 at 1:19 p.m. – The victim reported that a handgun was stolen from his residence.
  • Attempted Theft at the 200 block of N. Morgan Avenue on July 20 at 4:43 p.m.– Two vehicles were entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Disorderly Conduct at the unit block of Grove Place on July 21 at 2:26 p.m. – 24-year-old female, unit block of Grove Place, was cited for disorderly conduct and harassment.
  • Fraud at the unit block of Strathmore Road on July 21 at 1:06 p.m. – The victim reported that he was trading Crypto currency online and realized the website was fake. The total loss was $2,700.
  • Theft at the 2300 block of Grasslyn Avenue on July 21 at 1:46 p.m. – Work van was entered, a tool set valued at $5,000 was stolen.
  • Fraud at the 2900 block of Belmont Avenue on July 23 at 12:30 p.m. – The victim reported that someone attempted to make unauthorized purchases with two of her credit cards.
  • Theft at Brandywine Senior Living, 700 block of Old Buck Lane, on July 23 at 3:45 p.m. - $150 was reported missing from a resident’s wallet.
  • Fraud at the 900 block of Deer Road on July 23 at 11:22 a.m. – The victim reported a $5,354.24 unauthorized purchase on her credit card.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on July 23 at 4:16 p.m. – An unknown male stole $41.98 worth of beer and an unknown female stole $33.19 worth of seafood.
  • Theft at the 400 block of E. Township Line Road on July 26 at 10:45 a.m. – The victim reported that a check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
  • Criminal Mischief at the Septa Beechwood-Brookline Station, 1400 block of Edgewood Road, on July 26 at 6:13 p.m. – A juvenile male was cited for criminal mischief, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
  • Theft at the 200 block of Westwood Park Drive on July 28 at 3:26 p.m – An electric scooter was stolen from the front porch.
  • Bicycle Theft at Wexford Road and Brookline Boulevard on July 28 at 3:49 p.m.
  • Burglary at Wyndmoor Apartments, 100 block of S. Eagle Road, on July 29 at 11:37 a.m. – The victim reported that two pieces of furniture and a vacuum cleaner were missing from her apartment when she returned from vacation.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 1300 block of West Chester Pike on July 29 at 5:45 p.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
  • Fraud at the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue on July 30 at 4:52 p.m. – The victim reported that someone gained access to her bank account and attempted to transfer funds.
  • Theft at the 300 block of Oxford Road on July 30 at 2:08 p.m. – An Igloo cooler was stolen from the victim’s driveway.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on July 30 at 9:01 p.m. – An unknown male stole diapers and paper products.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on July 30 at 6:29 a.m. – An unknown female stole $271.86 worth of merchandise.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on July 31 at 4:36 p.m. – 18-year-old male, 7100 block of Radbourne Road, Upper Darby was cited for the retail theft of $78.40 worth of merchandise.
  • Fraud at the 1000 block of Allston Road on Aug. 2 at 4:03 p.m. – The victim reported that she used the internet to search for Epson customer support. She found a phone number, not realizing it was associated with a website for "Cure Secure, LLC." She provided them remote access to her computer before she realized they were not Epson Customer Service.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 2 at 4:17 p.m. – Two unknown females stole $379 worth of merchandise.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 1200 block of Bon Air Road - A juvenile male was cited for criminal mischief for breaking glass on the front door when playing "ding-dong ditch."
  • Criminal Mischief at Merion Golf Club, 400 block of Ardmore Avenue, on Aug. 4 at 5:57 a.m. –approximately seven skid marks were observed near the 12th green.
  • Fraud at the 100 block of Gilmore Road on Aug. 4 at 4:15 p.m. – Three unauthorized purchases were made with the victim's credit card.
  • Theft at Applebee’s Restaurant, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 4 at 3:10 p.m. – Laptop was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Theft at the 2400 block of Clover Lane on Aug. 4 at 2:32 p.m. – Vehicle was entered, approximately $10 in change was stolen.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 4 at 9:07 a.m. – An unknown male and female stole $793.25 worth of merchandise.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 4 at 9:58 a.m. – An unknown male and female stole $487.09 worth of merchandise.
  • Fraud at the 1600 block of Mount Pleasant Road on Aug. 5 at 4:13 p.m. – The victim reported an unauthorized purchase was made with his credit card.

  • 18-year-old female, unit block of N. 62nd Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Receiving stolen property, driving without a license and fleeing or attempting to elude police. Location: Darby and E. Eagle Roads. Date: July 6 at 11:22 a.m.
  • 24-year-old male, 1000 block of Northridge Drive, West Norriton. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia with the intent to deliver, receiving stolen property, suspended drivers license and no inspection. Location: W. Township Line Road and West Chester Pike. Date: July 16 at 3:44 a.m.
  • 36-year-old female, 100 block of Blanchard Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: DUI. Location: Drexel Avenue and Dill Road. Date: July 24 at 10:07 p.m.
  • 42-year-old male, 3500 block of Old York Road, Philadelphia. Charges: DUI, suspended drivers license and driving with an open container. Location: 700 block of West Chester Pike. Date: July 31 at 8:16 a.m.
