Assault, Fraud, Thefts, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford issued details on recent crimes in the township.

These incidents occurred between March 12 and March 18.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

Incidents

• Theft at Havertown United Methodist Church, 200 Brookline Boulevard, on March 12 at 12:57 p.m. – A speaker valued at $300 was stolen.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on March 12 at 8:49 p.m. – Two unknown males stole $725 worth of merchandise.
• Public Drunkenness at Pilgrim Lane and Warrior Road on March 13 at 2:10 p.m. – A 35-year-old female was cited for public drunkenness.
• Theft at the 1000 block of Crest Road on March 13 at 3:16 p.m. – The victim reported that she googled Venmo’s customer service number and called them about an issue. She spoke to an unknown male and allowed him access to her Venmo account. She later received an alert that $325 was removed from her account.
• Fraud at the 600 block of Aubrey Avenue on March 14 at 7:34 p.m. – The victim received a call from a person claiming to be from Wells Fargo. They explained that he was the victim of a fraud and they were attempting to correct it. They advised him to seal his bank card in an envelope and provide it to a courier. A short time later $2,500 was removed from his account.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 1300 block of Leedom Road on March 14 at 12:22 a.m.
• Criminal Mischief at the 2700 block of Pine Valley Lane on March 15 at 3:15 p.m. – Vehicle was egged.
• Harassment at the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue on March 16 at 9:07 p.m. – 32-year-old male, 100 block of Park Road was cited for harassment.
• Identity Theft at the 500 block of Fairmont Road on March 17 at 5:40 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to gain access to her unemployment account.
• Theft at the 100 block of Wilson Avenue on March 17 at 2:55 p.m. – A package was stolen after it was delivered.
• Retail Theft at Kid to Kid, 1200 block of W. Township Line Road, on March 17 at 6:10 p.m. – An unknown female stole $100 worth of merchandise.
• Fraud at the 200 block of Friendship Road on March 17 at 8:35 p.m. – Victim reported that a person known to him fraudulently cashed a check.
• Theft at the 400 block of West Chester Pike on March 17 at 11:14 a.m. – Victim reported over $2,000 worth of items were stolen from her vehicle including luggage, computer, and kitchen supplies.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on March 17 at 8:50 a.m. – An unknown male and female stole $114.83 worth of merchandise.

• 18-year-old male, unit block of Brighton Village, Broomall. Charges: Warrant. Location: West Chester Pike and Robinson Avenue. Date: March 13 at 3:06 a.m.
• 35-year-old male, 5900 block of Delancey Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft and suspended driver’s license. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: March 13 at 4:36 p.m.
• 42-year-old female, 2000 block of Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance. Location: Wawa, unit block of E. Eagle Road. Date: March 15 at 6:53 a.m.
• 38-year-old male, 300 block of Maryland Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Simple assault and harassment. Location: 300 block of Maryland Avenue. Date: March 15 at 11:54 p.m.
• 50-year-old male, 1000 block of Oakdale Avenue, San Francisco, CA. Charges: Contempt for violation of order. Location: 800 block of Penn Street. Date: March 15 at 3:22 p.m.
• 60-year-old male, 100 block of Academy Lane, Broomall. Charges: Retail theft, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: March 18 at 1:36 p.m.
• 43-year-old male, 900 block of Brenton Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: March 18 at 1:14 p.m.
