Bonner & Prendie Golf Team To Take On Northern Irish Team In Havertown
The school's boys golf team will play against a team from Northern Ireland Monday, and the match will later air on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
HAVERTOWN, PA — Students at a Delaware County Catholic school will soon face off against their Northern Irish counterparts on the links.
The Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School’s boys golf team will play a match against Saint Malachy’s College, an all-boys secondary school from Belfast, Northern Ireland, this weekend.
The match will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Llanerch Country Club in Havertown.

This golf match will be recorded for "Winning Golf," a television show.
The program will air at a later date on NBC Sports Philadelphia. This is the second time in five years the teams will compete on "Winning Golf."

Jack Glacken, Class of 1971, Head Boys Golf Coach and Bonner & Prendie Board Member, will be present for the match.
The golf team has traveled to Belfast three times and plans to return in September 2026.
When the team is in Belfast, they are hosted by Saint Malachy’s families.
Similarly, the Bonner & Prendie families serve as hosts for Saint Malachy’s students when they visit.
