As individuals and in small groups the choral students perform a variety of musical genres including pop, jazz, blue grass, rock, and show tunes. It’s a wonderful family outing or “date night,” and an ideal way for the community to support the talented choral students.

Musical numbers include selections from Les Miserables, “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac, “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse, “Be Prepared” from the Lion King, “I’ll Be Seeing You” by Sammy Fein, “Starry Starry Night” by Don McLean, “What a Wonderful World,” “Atlantic City” by Bruce Springsteen, and many more. The evening concludes with selections from West Side Story by the award-winning Haverford High School combined choirs.

During the social hour from 5pm – 6pm, silent auction items will be on display and available for bidding. Items include jewelry, get-aways, tickets to events, dining opportunities, and many hand-crafted items. There will also be several raffle items and a 50/50.

The proceeds help to enhance the Haverford High School choral program by enabling the Haverford Choral Association (a volunteer-parent organization) to purchase items that are not included in the school district budget. Items such as professional uniforms for concerts, folders to hold sheet music, professional recording sessions, professional musical accompaniment during concerts, sound and technical support during concerts, events and tour dates.

The Haverford High School combined choirs include approximately one hundred auditioned students who receive choral training during the academic day, as well as sectional training outside of school hours.
