Man Wanted In Delco Double Stabbing In Custody, ICE Arrest Expected

UPPER DARBY, PA — Federal authorities took a man wanted in connection with a double stabbing in Delaware County late last year into custody Tuesday, and immigration authorities are expected to detain him due to his undocumented status.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Orvin Alexis Lopez Torres, 27, was apprehended Tuesday after authorities said he stabbed two people Nov. 28, 2024 on the unit block of Garrett Road in Upper Darby.

Torres was taken into custody without incident at a residence in the 7200 block of Spruce Street in Philadelphia, where investigators on Tuesday learned he was hiding.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers serving on the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force officers determined Torres, a Honduran national, was in the United States unlawfully and immediately placed an ICE detainer on him.

ICE expects to arrest Torres through the detainer upon his release from Delaware County Prison.

"The Marshals Service is committed to ensuring public safety," Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark said, "and violent fugitives must be held accountable regardless of their nationality."
